I have an 88 force 35 hp and i can't seem to figure out the right plugs for it. when i got the motor it had one regular plug and one gappless plug. the motor will run, but not very well at all. I need a recomendation on the right plugs to use,and does having the two different plugs make a considerable difference?

If the engine has electronic ignition with a CD box, use surface gap plugs. Standard ignition does not have the power to adequately fire these plugs -- especially at low speeds-- so if you have either magneto ignition or battery, coils, and points, use a regular bent electrode plug. HOWEVER: Be absolutely certain the plug is the correct heat range to avoid melting a piston or two.
