Speedometer Identification

I am looking to replace my speedometer, but as I am searching I am finding that speedometers are listed with R/I ,V/L or S/P at the end of the description. Can someone tell me what it means. My speedo works with air pressure so I am thinking that it has something to do with how it is activated (air or electric).

Thanks

Re: Speedometer Identification

Perhaps you could link us to an example.

Personally have noticed them. And just looked at 9, online, don't see them.

Hmmmm, Found the same part numbers on many websites, none of which had the R/I V/L S/P

Sorry, can't help you.

Re: Speedometer Identification

well roscoe thanks for trying. I made up my mind last night that I am spending to much money on this rebuild so I will put the new speedo on hold for now. I have my boat stripped down to the hull and I am having a blast rebuilding her. I am so glad I did this project because everything I have been removing I have found problems or corrosion or broken.
