25 HP lower unit

Can anyone tell me if a 1975 25HP Evinrude lower unit will exchange with a 1981 Evinrude lower unit? I bought a used motor that has a cracked gearcase and locked up due to no oil/fukk of water.

No, they are different dimensions.
You can search the BRP website for comparable models.

That's a completely different animal with a different type of splined drive shaft.

In 1977, the 25hp was completely re-designed. Bigger powerhead, different leg, the whole works.

I think '75 and older through '53 in 15, 18, 20 and 25 HP will fit. Rick

Then what Sam? Molson Canadian? Labatts Blue? Blue Light? OV? Those beers are non existent much south of New York.

I had Labatts Blue on a cruise once. Pretty good stuff.

Our big name ones are not the good ones... The good ones here are Sleemans, Keiths, Moosehead... smaller breweries... when in the states I like Rolling Rock the best but you cant find it in the south, only the north.

The impeller is still sitting in front of me. Have not got the engine running yet... I did work on it some this year though...
