chance to trade..Could use some opinions

Hello.. i have a chance to trade my snowmobile 96 arctic cat cougar 550 worth about 6-800 dollars for a grumman 16' on a great shorelander trailer with a 25 hp johnson that runs great with a new prop. Compression readings are 120 psi each cyl. Strange center console setup, but i dig it. Here are a few pics..Any opinions on either value, or just an overall? Im not much of a sled guy, but i do ice fish. Thanks in advance..

nice boat; around here used sleds aren't worth much unless they are mountain sleds then still not that much.

not sure about there in maine. if you can use the boat i would trade in a heart beat but thats me.

which would you use the most? also i think the boat is worth more than the sled

Yes, get the boat, get rid of the cat, then get a new RAV 800.

Good looking boat. Looks like it was used by a "serious" boater/fisherman, probably well-maintained. I like that forward console making it very easy to plane and operate. Looks sorta like a lot of the private "crabber" boats along the Southeast coast, with the large open area in the rear for crab traps. Better grab that one! Good Luck!

You could also put a nice Bimini top up front to keep out the sun and rain and you'd be ready for the river! Also those aluminum boats are very durable, easy to maintain, repair or modify.

I'd make that trade any day. That boat is worth MINIMUM $1500.

Even if the boat/trailer/motor combo ain't worth much it's worth AT LEAST as much as your old sled.

Make the trade before they back out.

It also comes with a spare 25 hp that doesn't run with controls. I already have an old 14' arkansas traveller with a 70's 6 horse on it, but it's not exactly quick or dependable.. Hmmnn..Maybe i will be walking to my ice fishing spots again this year..You guys are great.
Oh.. Can anyone identify that johnson on there?..Im thinking early 90's..I didn't get the #'s when i went to check it out unfortunately..

Get the serial number off the motor and post it..
It looks more like early to mid 80's to me.
Also it appears to have had a new starter put on it or it is just really clean!

The boat,motor and trailer with the extras would easy sell for 1500 around here too.

Ice fishing has its followers, but I think that many more guys leave it than stay in it.

Just toooo cold for me.
