Hi All,

I have a noise in the out drive. I the driveway I can hear a noise in the out drive at slow speed turning more when it is trimmed up a bit. Is there a problem with the gimble bearing? Does it need greasing every year? If so how and where

Second: Where is the water pump in the out drive? Is there a impeller that I need to replace?

Thanks for any help

The water pump is on the engine. It is either driven bt a belt or it mounts on the crankshaft but that depends on your year.

As far as the noise, that sounds more like u-joints. You should be pulling your drive every year to inspect the u-joints and the gimbal bearing, greasing them, checking drive alignment and seeing if there is any water intrusion in the bellows.

Will do. I know motors real well. Here is a link to one of my business.

www.allpontiac.com

My business partner sold me this boat new (Ebbtide 23' Bow rider) and love it.

Nice site. I would love to put in one of our 900 Hp. pump gas motors in it, but like one of the members stated ( site back and cruise and enjoy the boat as is. Going fast all the time is not everything.)
