thrillhouse mentioned a deck coating in another thread called KiwiGrip. I was intrigued so I took a look. Has anyone here had any experience with it? I hoping for an alternative to completely fairing my new deck fiberglass. Will it cover some imperfections in the surface?
Looks like you can control the look of it with the roller that comes with it. I like the idea of that as well.

If you look over on the bateau.com (boatbuildercentral) site forums, one of their pro restorers did the topsides of a completely rebuilt boat with it. He masked off the hatches and everything, looked nice. I didn't care for the colors, though.

Read about the whole resto to see how the guy (Shine) works. He's a master at this stuff.

I'm personally planning on using walnut shell blasting media for my deck. Lay down epoxy in masked areas, sprinkle shells, let harden, vacuum excess, and paint.

If I need to grind it off later, it's just wood (essentially).
