Transducer Mount keeps coming loose

I have a 97 Edgewater 205CC with a Garmin GPS Map 398. The transducer mount keeps coming loose during operation making my depth finder inoperable. The transducer is mounted in the inset area of the transom. In otherwords there is an indent in the hull to allow for the outboard as opposed to the hull and transom being straight. The only thing I can surmise is that when coming off plane the water pressure in the inset area is strong enough to loosen the mount. I have tightened the mount repeatedly only to have it happen again. Has anyone else had this problem? Can I resolve it without changing the mount location, possibly with rubber washers?

Fiberglass hull? Screw holes stripped out, I would move the transducer into the bilge, try different spots in there, then silicon it down.

Whoa slow down here, the mount is loosening from the screws going into the hull? Or the pivot on the bracket is loosening.

If loose from hull the holes are prolly stripped, a larger screw and some 5200 would prolly fix that right up.

If the pivot is loosening, soft rubber washers may help, or you could even put some epoxy, or a dab of 5200 on the joint, then tighten down and allow to dry. Could also try roughing up the joint where the two halves pivot to see if you can increase its holding power. are you sure the correct sides of the joint are making contact? Most have a ratcheting indents that interlock to prevent movement.

Pivot on the bracket keeps loosening not the bracket itself. Thanks for the tip on the Washers I'll give that a try.
