I have an 2003 Tahoe deckboat....135hp I/O....19feet long. I bought the boat without a trailer and now want to move the boat to different lakes. Thanks for your help in advance

Re: What type trailer do I need?

First Welcome to iboats.

Now im trying NOT to sound like an a**, but you need a trl that fits.

Bunk or roller is your preference.

Measure from the winch/bow stop to the end of the trailer. The boat hull should not be more than 12" longer and definatly not shorter than the trailer. If you can adjust the winch stand then take that into consideration.

Now for the rated weight.
The trailer needs to be able to handle the weight, and its better if you have a little heavier trailer than you need, but not to much. 2500lbs boat on a 3000lbs trailer is OK. The same boat on a 2000lbs trailer is NOT.

Now you need to look at the material the trailer is made of. Do you need galvanized? or will painted do? Alum or steel?

Then after you get it you must adjust it for your boat.

Tha should get you started.
