YEP, all regulators have some sort of diaphragm. Unless it's a high quality piece,
I would be surprised if you could find parts for it. But you never know, worth a
shot I suppose.
By chance is it made in C***a?
Hope it's not Craftsman. Tried to replace a part on a cutting torch once,
after multiple attempts with a "nice" lady pointing at pictures, who had no
clue what a cutting torch was, I gave up.
Still have that old torch though.![]()
The local gas distibutor/ weld shop will probably be able to point you in the right direction. Our regulators were rebuilt @ 6 years ago. I've never taken one apart but I understand the process is " delicate ".
I am curious about what you mean by popping off though,...are the threads stripped?![]()
Well it got fixed, I guess over time the seat under the diaphram wears there fore will not hold the preasure, and does a blow out through a port.
they cleaned it up nice, installed 2 new gauges, works great, $70.91
Glad to hear it was an easy fix.
Did you only do the Oxygen, or include the Acetylene for preventative maintanence?
