shocking problem

I have a 25 hp Mercury which ran fine. I was checking it out before going duck hunting and had the cover off. When I went by the spark plug wires, it shocked the %%%% out of me and killed the engine. Since then I havent had any spark to the plugs nor will it act like it wants to start. I am not getting any electricity to the coils or the plugs.

Any suggestions? I have printed out some of the troubleshooting tips and will try them this evening, but I didnt know if someone might have had the same problem and can give me a golden BB.

thanks.

Re: shocking problem

It seemed to come from the top of the motor near the coils or the plug wires.
