Re: Fletcher Arrow

Not entirely sure to be honest. On my Bravo165 GTO I had all the weight in the back. Not a great idea, but with 140hp it still goes some. If you stick the fuel tank in the front engine and battery in the back you'll be fine.

Re: Fletcher Arrow

first of all the way I have done this is you need to thin out around the holes so instead of the hole being:

||

its more like:

><

So increase the surface area around the edge of the hole. Then I used cellulose thinners to clean the area and finally filled with P38 fibreglass filler and then sanded smooth. There is nothing wrong with building up a little on the underside either to help strengthen it a bit.

Re: Fletcher Arrow

Thankyou for all your advise up to now. I was wondering about the interior. I need to basically design from scratch. I have the seats that were in it but these are very heavy out of a volvo snowcat. I am looking to get some new ones when the time comes but from where and what layout . I have seen alot back to back that look like they fold down. Are these any good. What layout is in your boat many thanks again Neil

Re: Fletcher Arrow

Had a day on the fletcher today and took the rear boxes out which had foam in but full of water and saturated so they were heavy. ordered the marine ply for the floor. but i need to find somewhere to get the resin and rolls of fiberglass. Re: Fletcher Arrow

Your boat was moulded originally in two halfs. If you pull the rubber out of the trim surround you will see loads of screws holding it on. They also hold on the top and bottom half of the boat. Its a complete arse of a job to get them out. I'm still stuck on this on mine. But basically, if you can pop the top of the boat, then you can get to the transom and all its damage and replace it that way. Its not a fun job. Im due to do mine as soon as I can (once snow's melted)

Re: Fletcher Arrow

Windscreen would have to be DIY. They are no longer made. For resin and mat try google for trade fibreglass supplies. And sorry I am not aware of G4 seal :)

Re: Fletcher Arrow

Hi had a few hours on it again today and found all the stringers are rotten so now in the process of getting them out . It looks like i will need to take the top off to do the transom so this looks like it will be a long old refurb. Also looked at thge screen today and wondered how to go about bending perspex to this shape? If any one could advise me of the best way this would be very helpful
thanks Neil
