Does my 3 battery boat have a battery selector switch?

I've read about the benefits of utilizing the battery selector switch to obtain better battery longevity and proper charging, by selecting the appropriate 1,2, or both on the selector.

However, my Crestliner Sportfish has 3 batteries (1 starter, 2 for accessories/ 24v trolling motor), and I can't seem to find the switch - at least I couldn't find it before I tarped it for the winter. Will my boat have a switch? Will it be by the batteries?

Just trace the cables off the positive posts of the batteries to see if they go to a switch. Since none of us can see your boat, you are going to have to do this by yourself.

Just because you have three batteries does not mean you need or have a switch. The bigger question is how are the two troller batteries being charged? Do you have an on-board charger? A battery switch looks like this:

If you have one of these you have a switch and it should be in the proximity of the batteries or at least in plain view. Doesn't pay to have one if you can't get to it easily.

Ya, I guess I should have researched the topic and also worded my post better. I just read the do's & don'ts regarding using the swicth properly on multi-battery systems, and should have continued to read prior to posting. I suppose a better post would have been is a switch absolutely required on a 3 battery system, and from my looking into the topic the answer would be "no", as the starting battery is already protected.

..again...thanks for the info
