just purchased boat 2 25 hp or 50 ? which better?

I just purchased a 15 tracer. It has 2 25 hp mecury electric start motors. On my boat I have a 50 hp power trim. I want to swap motors. Put one 25 on my old boat and then sell the other. I have a 4 hp kicker motor that I wanted to put on the tracer, plus a 50 lb eleclectric for it. Does that seem like a good idea or should I leave the 2 25 on it. I don't know what to do. this is my first smoker craft. My wife caught me just sitting in it the other day and thought that I was going crazy!!! any ideas!!

I am confused about the size of your engine? Is it a 225hp,if so how did you get it to fit a tracer? LDJ

2 motors, twice the headaches. I wouldn't mess with twins. Also, 2 motors does not equal one motor of the combined HP due to the extra weight and drag of twins. Not to mention fuel economy. You'd be better off with a single 50.

it was two 25 hp motors. That was what I was thinking.
