Is there enough room and is it practical to build a livewell inside the seat of a 14' tinny 1432?

Not sure what yours looks like. My 16' has a storage box under the drivers seat and I,ll be insulating this and adding a plug for draining. Will be using this for baitbox only.

Re: Live well in seat?

I was wondering about this idea myself. I guess the size of the box depends on the size of the fish you would put in it. I would also want it set up so that an aerator of some kind could e used. My guess is the bait will live much longer if you have some way to keep air in the water. Another consideration would be how it is sealed. I wouldn't want nasty bait water sloshing in to the boat. I have never used a real bait box before. I usually use those cheap Styrofoam buckets. I lose allot of bait that way. Anybody have any good baitbox ideas?
I was thinking one of the forward seat boxes in my little tri-hull would make a good bait box.

mine has an electric pump to supply water and a tube with a nylon mesh on it that fits snuggley into the drain to maintain the level.

Was thinking of running a hose to it for a supply with water but need to discharge and not sure how to do that unless I hose it to the front discharge.
