Just by clicking on your link I was able to see it's a Volvo outdrive. Which one may be a problem, could be a 250 or a 270 . No way of telling by looking at them. The 250 has straight gears, and the 270 has helical gears. How it became attached to a Chrysler 318, I have no clue.

Ayuh,... It seems I remember that F'inscreenname's hull was originally a 340 or 360 Chrysler ahead of an old Volvo,..??

Yeah, they did some things with Chrysler, Ford, and Glastron that isn't documented anywhere in Volvo, so while it looks like Volvo, finding parts and what it really is can be a bit of a pain in the butt.

Look at your drive and see if you can read the ID plate.

okay i just went out and found the plate and it does say vovlo penta on top the it has the spot where a number should be maybe 6-9 digits but the numbers are gone due to it rubbing that housing right obove the plate so no luck there and then has sweden and somthing at else at the bottom.

That part above it shouldn't come close to it. If it's rubbing on it, then you have some problems with the helmet bushing and bolt.
Go up to the Adults Only sticky at the top of the forum, and go to the Volvo info. Then find the service mauals for your drive. Download both the 250 and the 270 manuals. They may help determine what you have.

Change the oil and pressure test it.

Was there any water in the bellows? If not, replace the bellows and be thankful.
If there was, replace the ujoints, you could also have rust on the yoke seal surface washer on the yoke which will eat up the seal and cause a gear lube leak into the bellows. This in turn could cause drive failure. If water gets into the flywheel housing and damages those bearings, well that requires an engine pull.
