Tampa Florida Boating

Hello Guys!
The econimic situation is pushing me to relocate to Tampa Florida, At this time I want to know about boating spots in Tampa, any comments will be appreciated, If any one knows about Denver Colorado too could be great so is also in my plans, anyway Tampa Fl is my first option.

You'll love it here. Other than the past two weeks, I can boat and fish most any day of the week. I have lived in the area for a while...moved here in '56. I did leave for a short while, but it was down to Englewood, near Boca Grande, so it was even better.
Hard to describe where all the better spots are..from the shipping channel which holds large groups of fish to Egmont Key to Cockroach Bay or even west to the Tarpon Springs area. Inshore, offshore, there is a huge vibrant fishery that gets better every year. The Bay has been cleaned up and there has been a restoration project on sea grasses going on for quite a while.
House prices are about as low as they can be, however many folks are moving just north of the city into Pasco County. Bigger less crowded newer communities and lower taxes all help. I am one more county north of that and fish out of Hernando Beach and Weeki Wachee. Great bottom fishery as well as miles and miles of great grass flats for trout, redfish, cobia, snook, etc.
Anyway, if you like fishing and boats, come on down....

Cant think of a better area for boating unless maby the KEYS.

You will love boating here! Egmont key and off ana maria island you can't beat the water and catches. Even up in the bay off the flats and the skyway bridge. Solid fishing and Beautiful boating

we have not only egmont but fanticy ,beercan,and other islands in the bay as well as manny reefs to fish from

If you can't find a good place to go boating in the Tampa area, then you are driving with your eyes closed!
And if you don't like ocean/big bay boating, you're within 1 hour of some really great river/lake boating too. Florida has it all when it comes to boating, really.
