60 hp japan mariner

I have a 60 hp 2 cyl mariner made in japan serial#675 L 31888 motor. the previous owner said it was yammaha made approx 1983. I was wondering if anybody knew of parts available? & also vintage cant find much online only for 3cyl merc made 60hp , any info appreciated

It was made in Japan by yamaha but it was not in 1983. It was made in 1977.

All of the 60hp yamaha built mariners are 2 cyl.

thanks dunaruna, I thought it might be a little older than an 1983

I have one about the same year, Just wondering if yours it is a good motor...

I had to clean my carbs out this pass week, I just hoppe it will open up next time out on the lake...It was running about half wide open, hads a little trash in the top carb....
