Help with minn kota power drive motor

Foot pedal will control motor speed but will not turn motor left or right. Where should I look to troubleshoot the problem

Check the connector for corrosion. Disconnect and re-connect it several times to burnish the contacts. If that doesn't work, it is generally a bad foot pedal. I've taken some of these apart and short of replacing the PC board, they are not repairable. Before you buy a new pedal though, see if you can borrow one from a friend to verify that's the problem. New pedals are about $75. Check right here on iBoats.

I had a problem like this when i had co-pilot hooked up, I e-mailed Minnkota, They fixed me right up, very good customer service, U can also call them

If it's a V-1 motor here are the instructions for testing the pedal if you can't borrow one.
