80's tilt trim 2 wire wiring help please :D

hi all i'v just finished fitting my new tilt n trim assembly on my 115 this is a new motor so i did not have any sort of tilt/trim wiring previously on the boat and was wondering if someone could advise me of how to wire it up

i had a bit of trouble fitting the new tnt on because it didnt line up with all the holes on as i had bought it with a transom mount attached and steering arm, e the old one was a 3 wire and this one a 2 wire so after swapping the steering arm of the old one the bolts mounted and a few with force. this also restricts my steering a little as they are not the same part numbers and vary slighty but eventuallyy i got it on thanks for everyone for there help in my previous thread on mounting it all up.

The two-wire PT&T works by reversing polarity of both blue and green wires, so you need the two-relay box or a similar device to do that. You cannot run it directly off a switch from the helm because of the reversing requirement AND because the wires are too small.

You can use a reversing solenoid at the engine instead of the relay box.

thanks for that i might go out and fiddle wit it btw my motor has the old 72 electrics on it with the hit old electric shift dunno if that changes or complicates anything but i thought id add it just incase thanks
