Re: 57 10hp sportwin

parts are in. had a heck of a time getting the new key in the crank. but i got it. new cam matched the old one nice. put the new flywheel on (after making sure it was clean) finger tightened it, and checked for spark. got spark and snugged it up with a rachet. backed the nut back off and checked to see how it was seating on the crank. couldn't pull it off by hand, so i would say it's a good match. but i forgot i loaned my old torque wrench to a buddy, so i had to stop there.
i did put my new fuel filter on though.
cant wait to get her going.... and for some nice weather got 12 inches of snow on the ground from the weekend and 6 to 10 more on the way tomorrow..... yah
just keeping you guys up to date...;)

Sounds like you're all good, Mark! That particular 10hp you've got is a powerhouse! They're way more powerful than a 9.5 sportwin (mid '60 's+) without too much more weight. I'm shoveling lot's of snow too! (mound, mn). Keep us updated when you test run. kirby
