1982 evenrude 9.9

The dog-ears on my 9.9 hub, in the foot, that holds the prop and gears/shaft. broke off. I was wondering if these could be welded back on, or if someone might have that asy. A local boat shop is asking $600 for the part used. Way out of my legue. Any advice would be appricated. The rest of the outboard is great.

What part of you referring to, clutch dog, output shaft ????? Got a part number to reference?

Go to shop2.evinrude.com and look up your motor, I think you are referring to the $233 output shaft.

look on ebay for a used lower unit,it will be your best bet
