hi i tried a search but no luck! what is the gas and oil ratio on a 1966 9 1/2 hp johnson outboard? thanks ken

50:1 ... 50:1 on all since 1964

TCW-3 rated 2 stroke oil.

Doesn't have to be xxxxx-3 but that's what's on the street today and is better than it's predecessors. My Merc manual published in 1997 says xxxxx-2, but that was the best then. Back in 1966 the industry was just getting over using automotive non-detergent oil for 2 cycle lube....so as the sayin goes....we've come a long way baby. Ha.
