anyone know a good way to put a load on the engine without taking the boat to the water. i have a test tank at home i run it in and i can get it running well there but when i take it to the water it doesnt. im getting tired on going back and forth. if like to stress the engine at home to get a good test before going on the water so maybe i could enjoy my boat when im out there. thanks.

test tank is about as good as you are going to get. What size motor?

or do like I did and buy a 2003 model IDC dynomometer with the correct propshaft adapters.
I dont know if US marine, chrysler or force ever offered a test wheel for that motor but if they did it would be cheaper.
