I have a 12' aluminum boat that I am installing pulley steering, remote shifter, and throttle. The steering and shifter have been rigged to work but I am having a problem finding out what the best way to attach the throttle cable to the motor chasis.

This is an older quicksilver control box. I don't know the model of it but it has 2 control levers on top, a turn key that I'm not using, a button for kill (i think) and wiring harness that Im not using.

I have a evinrude 1967 6702 6 hp fisherman. this is the last control to be installed before testing. I am thinking this control box is for a murcury or something other than Johnson/evinrude, but it looks like it can work. I just need some ideas how to mount the cable to the motor chasis. Here are some pics to help the issue.

Thanks in advance

Re: Remote Throttle Attachment

you have the wrong controls (too new) and you don't have the brackets that bolt on to the engine... to make what you have work you are gonna have to fabricate as they were never mean't to work together.....
