Is anyone using a fold out table on there pontoon?

I was thinking of making one hinged off the fencing. Just wondered if this was being done and if not why.

I thought it may keep it out of the way when it is in the down position.

I use a fold-down table from Sam's. It's easy to move around and very stable.

Re: Fold out table

I made one for our old pontoon boat. I just used C-channel aluminum that was just a tiny bit wider than the fencing, on the underside edge of the table. Then attached a hinged aluminum square tubing leg at each corner opposite side of where the c-channel runs. So the c-channel fits over the top of the fence rail and the legs fold out away from the fence to support the other side. By doing it this way the table can be moved anywhere along the fence rail of the pontoon if wanted and your not drilling any holes in your fence rail.

I wish I could, the table went with the pontoon last summer. I went with 1/2" Birch and stained and sealed it. Birch looks really nice when stained. The leg mounts were made from the same c-channel material for the side. Just need two 2" pieces, one at each end. Drill through the side of the c-channel, through the leg and then through the other side of the c-channel. Just make sure the leg will swing freely before drilling. Another idea to keep in mind is rounding off the edges of the table that will be in the middle of the boat :)
