Locating Bearing and Seal Replacement Parts

Have a 92 Apache trailer, single axle that I want to repalce the bearings on. Interesting that both the inner and outter bearings are the same size. Not a bad concept. However I'm having a difficult time locating a bearing seal. The number on the seal is in bad shape and nothing seems to match what the auto parts store comes up with. Anyone have the part number for the hub seal? The one on the boat looks like a NOK A025275 or something like. All help appreciated.

championtrailers.com has just about anything you can think of trailer related. I'm sure if you give them a call they can get you what you need.

Thanks. Think I finally determined the number on the seal. Looks to be NOK 2527 E and evidently pretty common among boat trailers. Guess we will see tomorrow.

Northern tool has the sets ( rear seal, pin, cap, bearings, and races) $15 a side.
If you have a store near you just take one of the old bearings and they have a chart to determine the correct size.

The outer seal diameter will be the same as the bearing race. Mic the seal surface on the spindle, and you'll have the numbers to compare at the auto store to be sure you have the right one.

hope it helps

If the inner and outer bearings are the same size you have a 2000# axle. Bearing and seal part numbers for the various bearing sizes are included in a "sticky" at the very top (second entry down) in the Trailer forum. They are available at most any auto store as well as Lowes, nearly any store that sells sporting goods, as well as Cabelas and Bass Pro and farm stores.
