1974 Mercury 50Hp 500 4cyl 2stroke Inline

[Stuck in the mud]

I am having problems finding parts for this motor. I can't find any serial to match up. I am unsure if I am just looking for the serial number in the wrong place or if it could have been removed? I am trying to buy pistons and rings plus a gasket kit for it. Also looking for a wiring harness. It is carburated, manual trim and cable steering. Any help would be great!
