hi all this web site is the dogs danglies, its been a great help teaching me about boats, im after a 12" jack plate(manual) does anyone know the best place to purchase one, doesnt have to b in the uk thanks for any suggestions

Iboats has them. Just put the two words . . . jack plate . . . into the search at the top left on their boat parts and accssories tab.

Also enter same words in google and you will find many sources, reveiws etc

Also jack plates talked about many times in these forums. Use the same search word and after looking through a thread scroll to bottom and it usually shows a list of other thread discussions on the same subject.

thanks all for the replies, the design is good but its only for small engines i need it for a 65hp engine with a 12 inch set back so i dont think it would be strong enough, if i buy one it has to be a manual one as the hydraulic is to expensive, i will keep looking, i have found one at bobs machines but i cant seem to get an email through to find out about delivery to the uk prices. think i might just build my own, how hard can it be......famous last words, best make sure the engine is tied to the boat, thanks again all.
