Cannot say without more info on the 105 amp alt but it is a worthwhile upgrade. 'nutcase

Re: changing alternators

its a paris rhone replacement alternator but its a higher amp. My question I guess Im trying to ask "Do I need to upgrade wiring for the higher amps or will the old wiring be sufficient?"

Re: changing alternators

Personal, I'd run a new (heavier) wire from the alternator output to directly to the battery (or battery switch if you have one)...

Re: changing alternators

the output wire may need changing and any battery isolators or automatic combiners need to be checked for amperage ratings.

Re: changing alternators

Is that 105 amp alternator an automotive alternator? If it is, you are endangering yourself and your passangers by putting it in your boat. 105 amp alternators are used in trucks and vans. 50 and 55 amp for boats.
If there isn't a marine rating tag on that alternator, it's not a marine alternater.
