What tunes do you listen to when you ride?

Kind of curious what gets others pumped when they are riding behind their boats?

I tend to have hard rock or heavy metal going myself. It just gets me really pumped up.

Id have to agree, there's nothing like hitting some clean wake at sunrise blasting heavy tunes. It gets the fishermen's blood pumping too passing by em!

i push the little play button sit back and enjoy anything the rolls through the box..... im a little bit counrty.... a little bit rock and roll... a few scooter, and some old time Euro...... then to get people mad i put on the Polkas..... ei ei ei ei oh........

We've always relied on hand signals 100% of the time, never have had any issues and there is always 2 people on the boat watching at all times. Safety is a HUGE thing for us. We all like going home at the end of the day just as we left.

Yeah, I hear you ... its more about me as a driver than a rider. I was schooled back in the day where there was no perfect pass, when we were timed our way through the slalom course with a stop watch. I think I can give a better pull than any perfect pass system anyway. That being said, I as a driver want to have all my eyes and ears available to me, so I personally like the tunes on after the run.

I know, I am old and old school. I did, however, have a job offer one year to drive full-time at a ski school, and I am still one hell of a tower!

for me, the tunes are on untill I get the boat in the water, after that, it's the natural sound of my motor getting me to my destination, the veiw of the ocean has it's way of playing it's own song in my head, and seeing the kelp beds, have a way of singing to me, and this is coming from a hard rock drummer of over 30 years, so i'm not afraid to blast the tunes, just not on the water. everyones has thier thing. rock on!

I agree 100%! It maybe I am probably much younger than most of the members on this forum, and have grown up in a generation where music is such a big part of our lives its hard to get away from it. Its hard to seperate my generation from our I-pods. I'm only 23, and I will admit from time to time I do like enjoying the sound of nature. Back in Boy scouts while doing my week long scout camps in the Adirondacks, the sounds of loons and whippoorwills at night would always put me to sleep.

I appreciate everyone's feed back so far.

Ahh yess, Back in the day all my friends use to call me classicrocjunkie because I grew up with my uncle always having classic rock playing whenever I was around him. Still to this day, sometimes I have to part way with my metal bands and chill out with some classic rock.

Its XM for me...Channel 54, Lithium. I let the DJ pick the songs for me. Or my iPod on shuffle.

If its a short ride,I am just listening to the road and the bike.If its a long ride,I will pull out the Ipod.It is very nice to have touch screen controls for music while riding.

Definite second for the Linkin Park and Scooter, whether on water or snow. Blink 182 and Green Day, even the odd bit of Def Leppard and dunno if so well known Stateside, but Born Slippy by Underworld is a UK classic (lot of people know it from movie Trainspotting) - though the lyrics take some getting used to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cr-32xx4qB8.

I just tried listening through the song, and unfortunately I had to turn it off. To each their own! It just not for me.

I "accidentally" broke my radio. I'm out there to get away from everything and IMHO music distracts me from that. I'd much rather ride with the sound of my engine and maybe a few birds being the only noise.

I mainly listen to Rock... 90s stuff, classic rock... though for some reason when I ride... I like listening to some rap with a hard beat. Can't figure it out... for some reason when I am on a boat I like to bump.
