Back in the days of early "you've got mail" AOL we had to come up with a nickname. It was even known back then it was probably a bad idea using your actually name like
JohnSmith@AOL.com. Good idea to pick a name that means nothing.
So I looked around my table and a newspaper ad I saw said Expedia (a new online airline reservation website).
So I changed the spelling to Expidia by swapping the 4th e for an i and have used that name when I have to sign up with a screen name. I use it when I have to give out an email address too. Yahoo is a great free email account cause it filters out any spam into a spam box.
