Re: Olympic closing ceremonies

The British press....hmmmm.....it's funny that for Canada the biggest disappointment of the Olympics has been the attitude shown by Great Britain towards Canada and Vancouver.
Why, we may never know...until we see their shot at the next Olympics. They better keep their head up...;):D:D

Re: Olympic closing ceremonies

Our 20year old nephew from England is coming over in a few weeks to stay with us for a few months and experience Canada. He holds a dual passport because of his Dad (my wife's brother) who ensured that the kids had dual citizenship.
I may have to give him a little schooling in the ways of Canada.;):D:D.....
put a little hair on his chest hopefully.

The Olympics was a nice diversion from all the usual humdrum tv shows that are on. I guess now it's back to the same old, same old......:(

I enjoyed the closing ceremonies and thought the jab with raising the fourth arm for the flame was a fitting end to an awesome competition. And BTW, congrats Canada for taking home the gold in Hockey. That was a killer match up of a game!!!

Being an ex Brit in Canada for the last 20 years I apologize for the British press.
They are most likely jealous because Brit's can not stand up on ice let alone move on it as fast as the rest of the world. There are a few exceptions but not many. ;):)

They still alive?

Few bands that could have been there. Trooper with Raise a Little Hell, Bachman doing Takin Care of Business.

But I think us old fogies need to move on and let the young ones party.
