'03 Denali

I am thinking of upgrading to a 265 Grady White Express. the weight w/o engines is 5400#.
Assuming twin 2-strokes and a trailer.....I am estimating the total weight to be ~8000#.

I have a '03 GMC Denali.....AWD and has the 6.0L engine.....
Think the max towing weight is 8200#.

Is my estimate close?

I only tow twice a year......putting it in the water and taking it out......the ramp is only 2 miles away.


Any comments?

Your weight estimate sounds reasonable dry - no fuel. Just double check the Denali's actual towing capacity. I'd pull it to a truck scale just to satisfy my own curiosity.

Danm,.... You're doin' Great Tony,... It was only a couple years ago you had the ole I-6,....

As close to the ramp,+ as often as ya tow,.... I'd Go for it.....

Hi Bondo..........it's more like dreamin'.........but who knows.........I still like my I/O and would still like to build a stroker for it!!!
