I used a 1 part expoxy based garage floor paint on a boat deck before and it worked well. I was happy with the results.

My concern would be that it wouldn't take to flexing much being that it's designed for concrete. However it is epoxy so it should be ok. I'd love for someone to try it and document it and report how it holds up. (No offense Isaac, 1 part ain't the same stuff :))

I'll give you the same answer on this site as the other one.

The can typically says they aren't designed for outdoor use, epoxies don't do well in sunlight and will turn yellow and chalk much sooner than other types of coatings will.

I've seen where boats with this type of paint will start chalking and leave powdery residue on whatever it comes in contact with, shoes, pants, towels, skin, swimwear, etc.

That would suck to have to remove.

Oh I know the 1 part is not the same stuff. when I got the stuff it was on the clearance rack for $6 a gallon. I used it on a boat i was selling. the finised product turned out nice, however i do not know how it held up.

Garage floor epoxies also tend to be of lesser quality, they're typically highly thinned with low cost solvents, this results in a less water resistant coating. Because they don't cure as well, they may be able to flex more, but have less strength. The only part that really matters is the chalking and yellowing though, this may, or may not, be important, it all depends on what your expectations are.
