1987 OMC/Cobra 350 Engine Removal

Do I need to remove the outdrive before I can remove the engine or can I remove only the engine to replace a couple of pistons. Are there any tricks to removing the engine

Remove the outdrive first.
THis prevents any damage to the coupler, and you have to remove the drive to check alignment when reinstalling.
