Not meant to be a religious thread! I'm a LEO and just left the scene of this house fire (it's actually still burning and got alot worse than this picture). Everyone got out, but a 16 year old girl got burned pretty bad. I'm not sure how severe it is, but when we put her in the squad she had blisters all over her face and arms. The good thing is she's alive, but this could change her life forever. I know there are alot of good people on here and thought you might keep her in your prayers. I don't know her, but I couldn't imagine one of my kids going through this.

(sorry, pic is from a cell phone)

Prayer done. Sounds like she has some 3rd degree burns to deal with not good. Thanks to all the first responders that no one died. Must ask what is a Leo?

Leo would be a Law enforcement Officer I think.
Prayers sent at this difficult time.

You got it. That is a difficult situation and recently another iboats member had a house fire with his children ending up in the hospital. It is never easy.

I will send good thoughts and prayers that she is left without permenant scarring, the main thing is, she's alive. House fires are devestating for a family and my heart goes out to them.

The family will definitely be in my prayers through out today. I meet with a accountability group this morning from my church, and we will take some time to pray for there family.

The terrible pain she's going through right now will subside but yes the emotional scares will last forever. I had third degree burns to most of my right forearm. All can tell you is the nerves will definitely let you know the damage done by fire. Prayers on the way now.

Re: Say a prayer!

I live in a small, one story house. I could probably do just fine with one smoke detector, but I have four of them. This is why.

My thoughts are with this young woman, with hopes that she will recover with a minimum of pain and disfigurement.
