Engine weight

Thanks to every one here I found out my outboard is not a 1985 but a 1979 model Merc 150hp. What would this weigh maybe around 150kg (330lbs) ?

thanks Chris, I was thinking of removing it myself because the transom is getting replaced very soon but ist a bit heavy to manhandle safely I think

Set up a hoist or use a piece of equipment.......... Those 150 hp outboards are HORRIBLE to man handle since they have no real balance point!............ very top heavy

Ahmen, If you can afford it go down to Autozone or O'reily and get their 5 ton engine lift. You'll never be sorry you did. I've even used mine to pull a few stumps out. LOL.
