Hello,

I have a 2003 Bayliner 175 with a Mercruiser 3.0 liter 135 HP engine and an Alpha one Stern drive. My propeller is left hand turn. I currently have the stock propeller which I believe is an aluminum 14-1/4 diameter with a 21 pitch and 3 blades. I would like to get a steel prop with a little more holeshot. The boat currently tops out at about 41 mph and 4800 RPM. Any thoughts?

I have a 92 bayliner 1850 3.0L with a 19p 14 1/4 stilleto. It has an excellent holeshot and good top end (about 39 GPS when trimmed up right!)

I went from the 21 pitch to 19 (both alum and SS) on my 175. It's an improvement in holeshot, but you start to loose on the top end.

Ayuh,.... It's already proped where it should be,...
If you drop to a 19" for acceleration, It'll be Over-reving at top end...

Tune up the motor so it's puttin' out All it has to give,...
Or,...
Buy a boat with a Bigger motor...
