The motor on my power trim and tilt on my 1994 Johnson 140 hp operates in the down position with the motor already down and not engaging any of the tilt switches. The power trim and tilt moves downward while I am attempting to raise the motor or will move downward after I have stopped raising the motor and am not engaging any of the tilt switches. This action of the power trim and tilt has negatively affected my batteries and I now have to disconnect the power trim and tilt power connection to keep from discharging the batteries. Anyone had this issue or know what may be causing this problem?

Thanks

Sounds like you either have a shorted switch, shorted wiring to the switch, or a stuck shut relay. If you had a manual, you usually get troubleshooting guidelines that take you through the troubleshooting steps.
