Whomever can help:

Recently purchased what according to the seller was a 1968 Starcraft 15' fiberglass boat. It is in average condition, although missing the windshield and the motors. It has a steering wheel and cable running back to where the motor should be, and overall the fiberglass/floor are in decent shape. I am wondering if there is anywhere on this boat to look to verify that it is indeed a Starcraft and find out what model it may be. More importantly I need to know the max persons/max motor allowed on this boat, there is no tag. Any info, manuals, or brochures would be much appreciated. The only thing on the side of it is a graphic that says "The Pounder." I am excited to start fixing it up, and want to do it right. Thanks.

Zorowski,
Welcome to iboats. Post up a pic of the inside, top, and stern and we can probably help you out.

Secondly, if you go to the Starcraft forums and click on brochures, you may be able to find it yourself.

Re: Info Needed: 1968 Starcraft

Zurowski,
growing up we had a 1965 closed bow starcraft. It came factory with a 75 hp evinrude outboard on it. the only seats in it were the loungers so a safe bet as far as a safe capacity would be 4 with a max of 6. I personally would not want to put many more than 4 adults on a 15 foot boat but this is only my opinion and isnt based by any real fact. I hope this helps you. also as far as your windshield. it had a solid piece curved winshield on it. I cant recal where the name plate used to be on this boat but I was thinking it said starcraft somewhere near the stern of the boat on both the port and starboard sides and possibly on the dash as well. Hope this helps you and welcome to iboats.
