Re: 1996 ocean pro 175 problems

well guys i got the motor going good again we took the primer off today cleaned it really good looks like the spring was stuck and kinda gummed up. now it really shoots fuel out of it. one problem we have found is that with the oil tank being higher than the motor it is causing it to flow down to the motor and displace the fuel when it is sitting up. so we are considering either moving the tank or putting a valve on it. the only problem with the valve is that someone will forget to turn it on and bubye motor.

You can count on it not being remembered.

The oil injection system is very reliable-if you maintain it.

I grew up before all the fancy oil injection, so adding oil to my fuel is automatic. I do it before I put the fuel in, So I never have had any problems.

i have no problems with premix we usually dont leave the oil injection on anything we own from quads to dirt bikes to jetskis. but we have had no problems with the oil injection on this motor. like i stated we will prolly just move the tank down to under one of the seats. i dont want to put the valve incase someone forgets to turn it on.
