I tought I put some picture and tell my experience about a small 4,3 m long polyester boat restoration. I was encouraged by this forum to start this work. It took me two months to repair. (01.2010-02.2010) (weekends and evenings) This is a Hungarian boat Built in 1965 They say that the original form was an Italian Vega boat. The name Parti comes from the famous Hungarian kayak champion Janos Parti, after racing he had a boat factory. This boat was built in his factory. I think they built about 50-100 pc. In Hungary I find at least 10 others for sale these days.
I wanted a full renewal, because it was neglected for years.
I Sanded all the painting and gel-coats, changed the whole floor, made new flooring-(air chambers) with two opening lid in order to get the water from air chambers if it goes into somehow. After all I re-gel coated the boat and for the shine I painted once.
