lots of wind blown debris (sticks, leaves, bark,) at the ramp today. had to load my boat on the trailer in the thick of it. noticed when I got on the trailer the pee stream weaker than normal (was strong all day on the lake). got home and flushed with the hose and still weak...constant just weak. so i'm pretty sure i got some trash up in the intake. i replaced the impeller a few months ago so i"m familiar with removal and such...just want to get the propper steps to trouble shoot and clear it out. can this stuff get all the way up into the water jackets and thermosts etc? Thanks motor is a 1998 90ELPTO

First, under the cowl, cut the tie-wrap at the end of the hose and remove the little black platic outlet (sometimes, debris made their way till there) and clean it. If it doesn't solve you problem, you could try unblocking it by blowing compressed air through the hose, thus pushing the debris toward the lower unit.
