overall it took about 45 hours,alot of blisters,7 coats of polyeurathane clear coat,new bass boat seats from cabelas,the new/used motorguide 82 lb thrust great white trolling motor,lots of nuts and bolts,lots of strips of fiberglass,sleepness nights while my brain constantly thought of its next move,overall,I bought the boat for 1800 bux,invested maybe 500 bux into it,and now its easily worth 5500 hundred bux.....my wife worked as hard as i did on the entire project and she is the one who carpeted all 7 of the compartment lids.....

Good looking glasstream, looks like you have a winner there. The fish will be jumping in a boat that looks that good

then again,the bass dont give a rats *** about what the boat looks like or how fast it goes,they just wanna know what the hell that sharp pain is in their upper lip!

You did a great job!...your boat looks very similar to my 89 Nissan...I am hoping mine will come out looking as good as yours...unfortunately I am having to redo the deck...have fun and enjoy your boat.

Me and my friend have a 85' glasstream fish/ski. We are trying to sell it, but we want to fix it up first. I was wondering if you could make a more detailed list of cost you have made to the boat. thanks

I can make an accurate account of money spent on the total restoration of the boat,it may not be a true account but it wont be much off the mark.

sand paper: 20$
wet sanding: time and effort

new carpet: 110$

fiberglass repair supplies: 40$

1 gallon clear coat: 165$

2 cockpit bass boat seats: 125$

1 pro seat: 45$

1 back swivel seat: 25$

2 pedastools : 70$

1 fishfinder: 150$

1 gps/map charter: 200$

1 82lb thrust trolling motor : 400$

nuts,bolts,screws,washers, hardware : 45$

time and effort: free

overall results: priceless

total cost: around 1400$
the overall repairs were much cheaper,it was the add ons that costed so much money....

Hello my name is Joe Jones and I am in South MS. I just recently bought a 1985 Glass Stream boat and in the process of reworking the inside of the boat. The outside looked pretty good paint and clear coat but needed new seats some work on the mother which is a 85 HP evinrude has practically new trolling motor on it.
