My Yamaha VX200 66XL studders when I am taking off and when I reach high rpms. If I take off really easy its fine and when I'm cruising under 40rpms its fine. What is causing this?

when was the last time the vst and lp fuel pumps were serviced?
what other maint history has been done.
what is the full model number off the port side bracket.
I experienced the same symptoms with my 70 Yamaha two years ago. I ignored it for a long time untill the engine abruptly shut down while I was running at full throttle across Lake Erie. I purchased a fuel pump kit for about $12 and installed it in about 1/2 hour. Motor has been running fine since.
