1990 force 150

ok took boat out today it started up fine found i had a bad coil so i bring it home and replaced it and now. turns over with no plugs and sparks.
as soon as we put plugs in only turns over slow as if flat battery. what the hell going on. battery is good

Have you tried it with the plugs in but the wire disconnected and grounded to the block? Im curious if its just the compression or if its something else in the ignition eating all of your current. I have a Force 150 too, so we can solve this together.

ill try now hold on 1 sec what ya mean by wire disconnected and grounded to the block

By grounded to the block, i just meant to make sure the pluq wires were touching the block. Some ignitions fry themselves if they are cranked with the plug wires disconnected without giving them a path to ground through the block.
