Just the lower unit. The gimbal housing and top driveshaft housing at the same. You'll also need a new prop. :D:D

Yep, lower unit only. And a $500+ aluminum prop.

Is this for your boat in your signature? if so, why a Bravo 2? Isn't that kind of a speed/sport boat? B2s are for big ol' heavy cruisers.

Ayuh,... I'd think a BIII would be Better on a Liberator, rather than the BII...

Bravo Three... isn't that the Bravo with dual props?

A beefed up Bravo One is a Bravo XR. Internals are a little tougher.

There are shops that rebuild Bravo One's into XR's. That's your performance drive for performance boats: Bravo One and then XR.

Re: Bravo 1 question

Let me be clear.

You chasing 300 to 450 H.P.? You are in Bravo One land.

You chasing 500 plus H.P. You are in Bravo One XR territory.

There are your choices. The gray area is from 450 to 500 H.P. Could you use a Bravo One? Sure... people do. That is the point where it seems to make financial sense, and sense from a reliability/longevity standpoint, to go XR.

How the gears are cut and the water pickups change.

Also, things such as those below make a One into an XR:

Heavy-duty U-joint and input yoke
Steel bearing support chimney
Improved thrust bearings
Net-forged straight cut gears
Thicker upper gear floor
Larger induction hardened vertical driveshaft
1.5 standard, 1.35, and 1.24 ratios available

Re: Bravo 1 question

I would just stick with the bravo one. They are the best bet. BII are for larger cruisers as previously stated, BIII is more of a mid range family ski type. If your going to be trying to run over 60 mph Bravo one is the best bet.

And also as previously stated, an XR is preferred for high horsepower applications.
