This is my first boat, and first season I have a crownline 240ex.Ihave a choice of trailering it on the grounds of the fresh water lake or they offered me a inwater slip. no lift. Would like suggestions one way or another and what to use to clean if its the other....I just want things to go fairly smooth for my first learning season...And maybe so other tips for me and my boat....
Thanks in advance

Re: New to boating

I would prefer to trailor my boat to and from the ramp than to leave it in the water. I feal bad having my boat in the water for a few days while on a camping trip even though I know its okay. Annyway if nothing else its certainly easier to do maintenence on dry land.

I also trailer my boat but I have been doing it for years. It's the in and out of the water that takes a little time and practice.

I have a neighbor that was not using his boat enough so he put it in a slip and now he uses it much more,

If you are going to us it at least every weekend or more than you should conciser the slip. if it's more than a week in between boat trips, maybe taking it out of the water is best,

Re: New to boating

Hi ski,

I have moored my PWC for 5-6 months a season for the past three years and I wouldn't have it any other way. Being in fresh water make life much easier. I clean the water line a couple times per season. I'll be mooring my boat the same way this year.

Regards,
