I just realised it now that jasoutside's project boat had one to start with. Good thing that there doesn't seem to be too many around.

The funny thing though. I got an offer for my engine and outdrive for $200 not sure if I can actually get that for it but it'd be nice to have a bit more for the "new" boat.

Yah, that blue and white anchor didn't last very long in there.

I actually sold that old OMC for more than I paid for the whole package! Now who would have that that an old OMC would actually be a GOOD investment??!!

I might be singing that song pretty soon. I'm just gonna see what is the max I can get for it, and then sell the trailer + the free boat shell . I actually feel bad taking her apart but there's really nothing that I feel like I can do . I also feel bad for talking about a glassie in the Starcraft section
Still looking out there right now though. I contacted the guy with the V5 and Evinrude, I might be going to look at that one first.

Someone had a WTB add on CL the other day. Looking for an OMC and it was in Detroit or Ann Arbor area. Maybe Flint, it was close by Detroit Metro area. anyway.

Well I'm about to sell the old OMC stuff soon. I have gotten quite a few inquiries for that thing. So that means... NEW BOAT .
I've been looking for those too. The other day I got an email from an ad I posted "Looking for Starcraft" He has a Super Sport 16', I have no idea what year, 85 Hp Johnson (runs). He wants $1,500, but I may shoot him an offer depending on what it looks like in person. For the pictures, it's not mine yet I just need opinions it really helps me think through stuff.

Go there right NOW and buy that even for full asking price! That is a NICE boat and you will LOVE it. I think that's a newer Johnny as well. Might even be newer than '78 which is awesome for a number of reasons.

Wow, if my SS looked like that, it wouldn't be hanging from a chain right now, what a beauty. My favorite era of Johnson's(looks-wise), too!

I'm looking forward to going and checking this thing out. I just have to call. The excitement is growing. He said that the engine does run in the email. That's even better!
One question, I don't have a truck or anything to pull this thing quite yet. I'm looking at tow vechicals right now. I won't be able to get one for a couple months though. Have you guys ever rented a truck from Enterprise or anything? I'm probally going to have to get it home this weekend, and as far as I know everyone that has a truck that I know is doing stuff already. Thanks!

Well todays trip really paid off. I met a very nice and helpful, truthful guy selling a very nice and good looking boat. When I first saw it I knew it was the right one (sounding a bit like a love story here). So onto some specs it has the 85 horse Johnson Sea Horse that he's going to have running soon, he wants me to hear it before I buy, that thing looks beast by itself. The floor is not rotten at all anywhere, I stood on it and walked around with no thought at all of falling in! There were no bad dents in it at all. Power trim works, 2 year old battery, trailer is pretty beefey as well. All in all this is a very nice boat with no strings attached, he has the title/registration for both the trailer and the boat. Well I'm excited to say the least!

Yup he's got the deposit. I'm pretty much the only one who knows it's for sale as well.

I'll make sure to vote in the poll I was almost going to get the Holiday when this thread started.
