I have 3 more questions before going out on the water.

First off does this need to be tightened? when hooked up to my truck it's all the way in the down position

I'm not really sure what its purpose is and why it can move up and down

And when draining the water out of the engine i noticed one of these black tubes kinda laying down I'm assuming its for the blower?

and last but not least how do i use these?

Re: 3 Questions

the first pic is your surge brake slider.. If it moves up without alot of resistance then your brakes are not working

the second pic.... stick your head down there and look up... you will see where that hose needs to be attaches

the third pic is your battery switches..... they look to have been wired by a little oddly but It looks like the one on the right is set to select which battery charges even though there is an isolator to charge both and the switch on the left is to select which battery is being used to power the accessories on your boat

alright those black tubes lead up to a rear vent

and as far as those batteries go basically all i need to do to charge them is
turn the far right knob left or right? I'm kinda confused on this part since you said the isolator should charge them both.

Re: 3 Questions

can't tell you what to do for sure since I don't know how they are wired... It would take some testing with a dvom to figure it out and then there is a good chance I'd change it

Re: 3 Questions

Just guessing, but looks to me like could have a 24v alternator with 2 12v batteries connected in series and the switches used to determine which battery to run boat on. It would take just such a setup. Only reason to be switching what look like wires to the negative terminals of the batteries. Check the labeling on the alternator. Isolator would prevent damage should the switches be put into an incorrect configuration. But, just guessing.

Just wondering! Did you just purchase the Boat? These are they kind of questions I would ask the previous owner during Pre Purchase inspection.

Re: 3 Questions

#2......one of the ends of those hoses just lay in the bilge ...open and just sitting there.

the other end is attached to a fan called a blower....that is attached to a vent on the top of your boat.

the blower sucks gas fumes out of the engine compartment. you start the blower a minimum of 5 minits BEFORE YOU START THE MOTOR.....if not....and there is a gas leak...you and whoever is in or around your boat will DIE !.

if i may suggest.....

1....take a safe boating course.....these are avalible from someone called power squadren.

2. .....have a friend that really knows boats....or a local skipper take you on a tour of your boat.....get him to show you how and what all the systems are for....

you have chosen a big boat for your first.....and you missed the learning curve.

but these forum can and will help.....:)

cheers
